My Recommendation

 

Sue Hearn discovers bones in her garden while digging around the greenhouse.  The house has been in her family for generations.  Detectives Asha Harvey and Aaron Birch come to investigate.  The bones are around 30 years old, the same time since her mother disappeared, however the bones are of a young boy not a grown woman.  Who was this boy and who in the family buried him there?  Sue and the detectives are caught up in the investigation, being attacked as someone clearly doesn’t want the reason behind these bones to be discovered.
A gripping crime thriller that keeps you wanting to know what happens next.  Second book in the series and can’t wait to read the next instalment.

My Recommendation

 

Jessie Novak is an ER nurse also working with ME office, liaising with Detective Sam Dallas.  A woman’s body turns up frozen, who turns out to be Jessie’s boss who disappeared months earlier.  Due to the connection, Jessie returns to working in the ER but still gets involved in the investigation.
A reasonably good crime thriller, but lacking a certain spark.  Still an enjoyable read.

My Recommendation

 

DI Harry Lennox and DS Jess Wilde are investigating the death of Dean Greenwood.  While looking through Deans bedroom, the find a murder wall, listing victims and their possible killer - the faceless man.  However the faceless man leaves behind no evidence of his identity.
A good read, it did struggle to keep my attention places.

My Recommendation

 

Twin, Rose and Fern couldn’t be more different.  Fern is quirky with rainbow and unicorn clothing, tall and slim.  Rose is more formal with a  rounder figure.  They didn’t have a easy childhood, moving from sofa to sofa, before their mother takes an overdose and the girls are put in foster care. Rose always looks out for Fern who is sensitive to sounds, touch and other people.  When they were younger, Fern did some very bad indeed and Rose has always kept this secret.  
Now as adults, Rose is desperate for a baby of her own, but unable to conceive so far.  Fern decides to have a baby for Rose to repay all her kindness.
The story is told from Ferns perspective but also has extracts from Roses diary.  A great psychological thriller with lots of twists.  
An enjoyable read.

Charlie wants to head home after her best friend and room mate, Maddy is killed by the “Campus Killer”.  She takes a lift from Josh, who she  just met on campus.  During the drive, the information and conversation from Josh contradicts what he previously said.  Charlie begins to suspect he is the Campus Killer, but also has doubts due to her ‘movie blackouts’.
After the stop for food, events take a dramatic turn and Charlie is not sure who she can trust.
A good psychological thriller, but some very cliche scenes.

My Recommendation

 

Bridget Wilson is excited about seeing her fiancé at the wedding ceremony that day, which is normal for any bride.  However, Bridget is getting married in prison, to the man convicted of killing her son 10 earlier.  
Bridget and Tom get married before his release knowing the backlash they will receive from family.  The twist and turns of events following Toms release unravel a whole host of hidden secrets.  
A great psychological thriller which keeps you wanting to read the next chapter.

My Recommendation

 

DI Rowan Jackman and DS Marie Evans are brought in to investigate a series of 3 missing urban explorers while looking around abandoned buildings.  At the same time, their IT Director, Orla Cracken (known and Orac) has gone AWOL, which is very out of character.   Orac makes contact with Marie who has to help decipher the reason behind Oracs disappearance.  
The bodies of the missing urban explorers are discovered, with another now missing.  The race is on for Jackman and team to find out who is behind this killing spree.
An enjoyable crime thriller, as 7th in the series, a great fondness has built up for the characters, but can also be read as a standalone.
