Last updated on 05 Jan 2022DCI Rachel King is returning back form maternity leave and is called to a situation where a 2 month old baby has been kidnapped by the babysitter. Then an elderly lady is taken from a care home. The link is a local gang called the Trio, one of the gang himself goes missing. Rachel’s partner, ex-gang boos, Jed then becomes a suspect. Rachel needs to find the missing people and who is behind this urgently.
This is the first Rachel King book I have read, but didn’t feel I have missed too much by starting mid-series. An enjoyable read with an interesting plot, the ending was a little disappointing, personally.
