My Recommendation

 

While on his stag do with 4 friends camping in the wilderness, Tim O’Day goes missing and is never found.  5 years on, on the anniversary of Tim’s disappearance, Tim’s father, the 4 friends, a Bigfoot hunter and sniffer dog and hander are meeting to search for any sight of Tim.  Frankish Elkin, who has dedicated her adult life searching for missing people wants to help with search party.  In the wilderness, things taken a deadly turn, they are not the only ones out hunting.
An interesting plot with characters well defined and portrayed.  The story is told from Frankies point of view, who is certainly an intriguing character!  My first Frankie Elkin book, but not my last.  5 stars.

DCI Rachel King is returning back form maternity leave and is called to a situation where a 2 month old baby has been kidnapped by the babysitter.  Then an elderly lady is taken from a care home.  The link is a local gang called the Trio, one of the gang himself goes missing.  Rachel’s partner, ex-gang boos, Jed then becomes a suspect.  Rachel needs to find the missing people and who is behind this urgently.
This is the first Rachel King book I have read, but didn’t feel I have missed too much by starting mid-series.  An enjoyable read with an interesting plot, the ending was a little disappointing, personally.

Jessie disappeared 15 years ago and no one knew what happened to her.  Margo returns to Lake Moss to help her dad who is convalescing, news breaks that some high school kids have found a Jessie’s remains while diving in the local swimming hole.  Margo finds her old diary and relives some memories, she also hooks up with an old high school acquaintance to help interview the local residence from 15 years ago.  Will the unearth the killer???
I really enjoyed the book and the view points it is told from.  Keeps you needing to read the next chapter with plenty of twists.  Another great read by Steph Mullin and Nicole Mabry!

My Recommendation

 

Loved, loved, loved this book!!  The Undiscovered Deaths of Grace McGill is such a breath of fresh air.  Told from Grace’s perspective and the work she does for those people who lay for months undiscovered.  There is a dark twist which seems perfectly plausible to Grace.  One boom you can devour in the day.

With 2 dead ex-cons, DI Kelly Porter and team are brought into investigate and interview staff and prisoners of Highton prison.  She finds more questions than answers and fears corruption is at play.  
I have not read all of the DI Porter series, but you can easily step in it without feeling you have missed out on any background.  An enjoyable, easy read.

On his fathers deathbed, he hints to Sam that his mother may still be alive after thinking she died over 25 years ago.  Events spiral and Sam is thrown into a world of danger as the one person who has also been hunting Laurie for the last 25 years won’t take no for an answer.
Told from multiple points of view and timelines, an intriguing plot that keeps you guessing and turning pages right until the end.  Luca Veste never lets you down!

My Recommendation

 

Sisters Tennant and Sophie live in an isolated community in the mountains, while outside checking rabbit traps, when their fathers pushed them into a trapdoor.  When they resurface, the whole community has disappeared.  FBI and other specialists are brought in to figure out what the incident that occurred was.
More sci-fi horror than crime that I would normally read.  I did struggle with the plot and length of the book but an interesting plot.
